2013 was our first year making maple syrup.
We tapped three trees and made about a gallon and a half of syrup. Very tasty!
This syrup making equipment is from Smokey Lake Maple Products and includes:
- 2X4 flat pan with thermometer and stainless ball valve
- Hydrometer and test cup
- Big bag filter system with stainless ball valve
The sap boiling capacity is only about 12 gallons per hour. But it’s matched to the number of trees we care to tap.
